1. Description of the User Surface

The LiverSurgeryTrainer is a system which enables the computer-assisted preoperative planning of oncological interventions at the liver and of liver living donors. You are guided through the clinical workflow of the surgery planning.

 

The user surface is divided into a larger left area, the viewing or working area (1), and into a smaller area at the left side where the control elements (2), help texts (3) and navigation buttons are situated (4).

 

The help texts comprise information about the present state of the training and give hints to realize the planning. If several help texts exist in one step, you can navigate the texts to the previous (1) or next text (2) of the present step. Otherwise, the navigation is grey (as in the example for "<< previous help").

 

Through the navigation buttons you reach the previous (1) or next step (2) in the order of processing. The intermediate DropDown menue enables you to jump to a selected step. (3).
